Street Records Proudly Presents Wonky Plonky Electronk
Wonky Plonky Electronk has steadily established itself as a vital platform within the UK’s experimental and avant-electronic underground, curating immersive live events that prioritise boundary-pushing sound and interdisciplinary performance. From intimate London residencies at All Is Joy to wider-reaching showcases and the Canterbury Gulbenkian day-festival, the series has brought together a diverse cross-section of artists operating at the fringes of electronic music. Previous line-ups have featured the uncompromising industrial energy of Dhangsha, the otherworldly, immersive compositions of Mieko Shimizu, the modular explorations of Shape Navigator, and legendary Cabaret Voltaire co-founder Stephen Mallinder — artists united by a shared commitment to experimentation and sonic risk.
Building on this momentum, Wonky Plonky Electronk now acts as curator of Soho Electronic Festival — a multi-venue day festival set in the heart of Soho, presenting 25 experimental, ambient and electronic artists across a curated programme that spans live performance, modular improvisation and audiovisual collaboration. With Mute Records founder Daniel Miller appearing as headliner, the festival marks a natural evolution of Wonky Plonky Electronk’s ethos: fostering community, championing innovation, and creating space for forward-thinking electronic culture to thrive.
